Learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, Periscope, Instagram and Snapchat to be the best sports journalist, using the social media tools to find news tips and market your work to a sports audience. This session will include hands-on lessons and tips showing how sports journalists can use Facebook live, Instagram stories and Snapcat for research and to promote your work. Participants must bring a smartphone or tablet capable of shooting video with data or wifi connectivity to take full advantage of the session. This session was developed by the NAHJ Sports Task Force.

College and pro soccer editor, Orlando Sentinel
Iliana Limón Romero is the college sports editor of the Orlando Sentinel and Sun Sentinel. She also supervises Orlando's soccer coverage. The El Paso native previously worked at The Albuquerque Tribune. Limón Romero joined the Sentinel in 2007 and covered UCF athletics for four years. She is the proud co-owner of two dachshunds, Atticus and Scout.
